As part of the celebration commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 275 Fergus sponsored a program in the community schools to recognize a student for their skills in leadership and having a positive influence on their peers and school community.  Teachers were given the task of identifying a student in their school who best fit the criteria.  Students selected were invited to attend the Legion to be presented with a certificate and monetary award, Winners from several public schools were:
