Congratulations!!! At the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Awards of Excellence Celebration, your Fergus Legion was presented with the “Community Social Responsibility” award. This award is presented to a group or not-for-profit organization that has displayed hard work and dedication to the betterment of our community. Raising awareness and/or dollars to support the people of Centre Wellington is a foundation of this award in addition to building community partnerships and collaborations. Well done!!!

We are the Champions! Congratulations to Comrades Griff Manley, Bryce McGowan, Gary Smith and Team Captain Gary Watt who, on Saturday May 6th, 2023, won Ontario Command's Provincial Euchre Tournament that was held at the Alliston Legion.

Groves Hospital Foundation recently received a donation of $10,000 from the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command Charitable Foundation.  The money will be used to purchase two pieces of equipment needed for the screening of term or late pre-term infants for jaundice as well as the visible light treatment of jaundice in newborn babies. Presenting the cheque are (left to right) Lynn McClellan, 1st Vice President of Ontario Command, Lori Arsenault, Executive Director of Grove Foundation, Ilse VanderMeulen, Chair of the Foundations Board of Directors, Randy Graham, Past President of Branch 275 Fergus, and Derek Moore, President of Ontario Command.

Groves Memorial Community Hospital recently received a donation of $5000.00 from Ontario Command of the Royal Canadian Legion to assist in the purchase of patient transport gurneys for the new facility.   Lori Arsenault, Executive Director of the Groves Hospital Foundation received the cheque from (left to right), Lynn McClellan (Elora), Vice President, Ontario Command, Randy Graham, President, Branch 275 Fergus, Ms. Arsenault, Frances Hurd, President, Branch 275 Ladies Auxiliary, and Derek Moore (Mount Forest) , 1st Vice President, Ontario Command.
